You need to discover Sibenik, the city that has a magnificent medieval heart, gleaming while against the placid waters on the bay. The stone labyrinth of steep backstreet and alleys are a joy to explore. Sibenik is also an important access point to National Park Krka.
In the morning an air-conditioned minivan will pick you up at the main meeting point in Zagreb and head up through Dalmatia towards Sibenik. Driving along the border between Dalmatian coast and hinterland with an interesting view of the landscape, cities, islands and the sea. You will be amazed by the breathtaking view of Dalmatians towns and their surroundings, with a landscape abundant with greenery, village households and life. Upon arrival in Sibenik, you will see this historic Croatia town, located in central Dalmatia, where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. The central church is the Cathedral of St. James and the UNESCO World Heritage Site included it on its list.
Afterward, you will visit National Park Krka, one of the best known natural beauties in Croatia. When you arrive to National Park Krka, you will embark on a tour. First up is the charming town of Skradin, where you will take the boat to Skradinski Buk, one of the most famous Croatian natural beauty and the largest travertine waterfall in Europe. Skradinski Buk is the last of seven waterfalls on the Krka River. Over 17 steps of Skradinski Buk, spread over 800 meters in length. Viewing the magnificent Skradinski Buk, lunch in a typical Dalmatian restaurant, where you can taste selected sorts of wine and a traditional Dalmatian homemade like prosciutto, cheese and bread, all made with heart. Free time for relaxation and you can enjoy the intact nature, a beautiful and quiet place.
It is a fascinating tour of an authentically restored ensemble of stone small houses, workshops, exhibits, watermills transformed into small ethno museums and a walk through forest pathways wooden bridges designed to let you experience the rich diversity of flora and fauna.
After exploring Sibenik and National Park Krka, you will return to Zagreb along the roadcoast, where the view is breathtaking, the gorgeous picturesque villages and beautiful offshore islands.
